Jessen
saxophone ligature
About Jessen ligatures
From Kim at KB Sax
Jessen, from Denmark, is making a ligature that is both elegant in terms of design but also works amazingly well in terms of the sound & resistance balance. It is a little heavier than the tried and true Selmer two-screw ligature, which gives it a bit more of a focused and weighty sound but the design is so that the extra weight doesn’t subtract from the brilliance in the sound.
Jessen is a master craftsman, who is also the maker of the G Mezzo soprano saxophone, played by Joe Lovano and Benjamin Koppel.
Our inventory of Jessen saxophone ligatures come in raw brass and silver plating.
